flying fox

On wednesday room 7 went to a flying fox.
Some of us went to do some other activites but I stayed at the flying fox.
First we lined up next to the flying fox.
After, when it was my turn I walked down the stairs and sat on the metal seat it was
uncomfortable.

After that we uncliped it.
Suddenly I went flying off and woshed down.
I went over the bushes and over the prickles.
I felt like I was as fast as a cheetah.
I smacked into the tyres.
I went flying up in the air then came down.
Lastly I got off the flying fox and carried it up the hill.

I did not like carrying the flying fox up the hill but I liked going down on it.

FIRE

Fire has existed on earth for billions of years longer than the stars and the sun. They are burning balls of gas.
Long before people ,dinosaurs or any living thing.
Fire existed caused by lava flows and lightning strikes.
There are over 50,000 home fires in Britain every year, nearly 140 a day.
When earth was formed the rocks and mountains were so hot they were molten.
There was fires over the Earth for many years!!!

In 1854, the first New Zealand Volunteer Fire Brigade was formed in Auckland with nothing but buckets.
In 1860 the Christchurch Volunteer Fire Brigade was formed.
There are lots of different fire engines there are red ones and yellow ones and lots more!!!
Fires are very dangerous and you can die.
